Fidget Pop Tubes

Updated: Apr 17, 2020

As an Occupational Therapist, these pop tubes are a therapist’s best friend! I use it for student’s of all ages, whether it’s during therapy sessions or when assessing a child. There are so many different things you can do with the tubes such as attach the ends, twist them, bend them and enjoy the popping sounds that it makes. When playing with the tubes, so many different skills are addressed. Fine motor skills are addressed by pulling the tube, bimanual coordination skills are targeted by using both hands together to pull and attach ends and body awareness skills can be addressed by how the child attaches ends (i.e. if they over or undershoot). Also, for those kiddos with sensory processing difficulties, the auditory and tactile feedback can help with self-regulation. Recommended for ages 1.5+.
