Sharlene Natan
MA, OTR/L
Master of Arts, Occupational Therapy
Sharlene Natan, MA, OTR/L has been working as a licensed Occupational Therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy since 2011. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has extensive experience in school based practice with the Los Angeles School District (LAUSD) from 2011 until the present. She studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for her undergraduate studies and attended the University of Southern California (USC) and received a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Sharlene has expertise working with the pediatric population with a variety of needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and rare genetic and/or neurological disorders. She loves working with children and has a unique approach for success. She has clinical experiences in the home, clinic, school and hospital settings. Sharlene has done volunteer work with local summer camps and schools to serve their special needs population on her free time.
Sharlene’s notably positive and energetic personality has been regarded as her best asset by clients’ parents and other trained professionals who work with her. She is extremely patient and compassionate and strives to find the best ways to provide children with the optimal achievement. She utilizes the most appropriate level to challenge her clients and creates an environment which is safe, friendly, and educational. She incorporates a variety of different skills during her therapy sessions to ensure effective and meaningful treatment. More importantly, Sharlene involves clients’ families with parent education so that her clients can continue to grow and carry over their skills into the everyday world.
